The team that I worked with was amazing. They were friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. They kept me updated throughout the whole process. If I had any questions or concerns, they would answer those questions and put my mind at ease. Everything thing went so smoothly in the purchasing of my home. Thx Jacob, Trevor, and Nate.
I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Nate Bohon! He and his team have been absolutely fantastic in my initial purchase and our refinance.
Thank you!!!

I researched and reviewed many mortgage companies aimed at Veterans. Veterans United was consistently the company that had the highest service and satisfaction rate. I begain my homebuying journey 2 years ago with less than Ideal credit. Veterans United worked with me for over two years to build my credit, purchase my dream home, and guided me throughout the process along with my realtor.Working withMax, Eric, Jill, and Ally was an amazing experience and if you're looking to purchase a home with a VA loan,Veterans United is not if you should work with them, but how soon.
Paul Farnham and his team of experts made my home purchase easy, efficient, and stress free. I never thought I could be a homeowner, but here I am, owning a home.
Very professional and way to work with!
Second time used Veterans United. Ken is hands down no contest real estate agent we ever had. It’s honestly shocking (after and selling a previous home) the difference he made. No kidding, anyone looking to move to our area I will INSIST they let him and his wife look out for their needs.
We miss him already even though we know he is with us as we settle in.
My family had $6000. invested and Gus was ready to scrap the whole deal. We would have lost all that money!
Response from Veterans United
Hi Michael,
I can only imagine how stressful that must have felt, especially knowing your family had $6,000 invested and believing the entire deal might fall through. That kind of uncertainty would be overwhelming for anyone, and I’m truly sorry you were put in a position where you felt that loss was possible.
I would really appreciate the opportunity to better understand what happened in your situation and walk through the details with you. If you’re open to it, please reach out to me directly at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday, and we’ll follow up the next business day if you contact us after hours.
Sincerely,

Buying a house is a painful long process, more than I thought it would be. Veterans united walked me through it all, and got me the best deal available. Excellent service.
Vetrans United has made our house buying sooo simple and smooth! I loved the online process it made it so easy! They also helped us woth insurance and that process was great as well! Definitely would recommend!
the veterans united team was so very helpful and made our first home buying experience alot less stressful as i thought it would lol. im saying the team is the best!
Zach and the awesome team at Veterans United did a great job of getting me into a home. Aleaha and Kurt Myers, Myers real estate in Sweet Home Oregon are rockstars I absolutely love them... from homeless to homeowner who woulda thunk?? Thank you thank you thank you I can't thank you enough thank you.
I was extremely happy with the services I was provided
This group as a team went beyond expectations. They were dedicated, resilient and always put clients first. If I ever had a question to ask, they responded quickly with an answer. I would recommend this group to anyone and I absolutely enjoyed working with them.
I paid so much for rate because the closing costs were packed. My credit is way too high to get 5.5 and pay so much. I paid $7600 in lender fees. I am also a disabled vet so funding fee was waived. If I had to pay it also.Would I have paid $10 grand in lender fees? Wow!
I didn't see it until the final disclosure but too late. I talked to rep but resigned to the deal I got.
A good deal on the surface but too expensive for what I got.
I did really enjoy working with Jeremy and Joanna.. The process was smooth.
My situation just seems like a mediocre deal to me to recommend from a bottom line perspective..
That point could have painted my house.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Keith,
I really appreciate you taking the time to share this and I can hear how frustrating it feels to look back and question whether the numbers truly lined up with what you expected. Closing costs and rate structure can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re reviewing everything at the final disclosure, and I’m sorry this left you feeling resigned rather than confident.
I’m glad to hear that working with Jeremy and Joanna was a positive experience and that the process itself felt smooth. That means a lot, even though I understand it doesn’t take away from the concerns you have about the bottom-line cost of the loan.
I’d genuinely like the chance to look into this further with you and walk through how everything came together. Sometimes a second review can help clarify what options were available at the time and whether anything could have been explained more clearly along the way. If you’re open to it, our Client Advocate team would be happy to help. You can reach us at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, and messages outside those hours are typically returned the next business day.
Thank you again for your honesty and for trusting us during such an important process.
Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager
I have always recommended VU to my fellow Vets talking about buying a house.
The only reason for a 7 was because of the amount of time, confusion, and communication issues. Otherwise it was a 10
