We genuinely care about the well‐being of others and make a difference by giving our time and resources. We achieve more collectively than we ever could individually.

Our United Initiative

In 2013, Veterans United launched the United Initiative, our diversity and inclusion program. It isn't a "check the box," and the impact extends beyond our walls into the community.

It’s always a great accomplishment to be able to assist Veterans, even some friends I served with, in their home purchase and achieve that goal of homeownership.

    We encourage thoughtful conversations among employees and their friends and family members while enhancing awareness to sensitive topics.

    We provide programs and events to build internal support structures for women in leadership at Veterans United.

  • ConnectU Groups

    People thrive in community. Our ConnectU Groups include support systems for diverse communities, including LGBTQ, professionals of color (VHue) and Women in Technology (WIT).

  • Veterans & Active Duty Service Members Programs

    We treat our Veteran and military spouse employees with care. Our military benefits include: care packages, pay differential, military training PTO and more. We actively source and recruit military members to join the Veterans United family.

  • Flourish Initiative Enhancing the lives of under-resourced youth in our community.

    We want to see youth become their best selves and lead their best lives. We started this non-profit to provide a safe and healthy home environment, as well as supportive relationships and development opportunities for students at Douglass High School.

  • Volunteer Matchmaker

    We support nonprofits in our community by coordinating thousands of hours of volunteer opportunities for Veterans United employees every year.

  • Equal Justice Initiative

    Veterans United donated $1 million to The Equal Justice Initiative to help end mass incarceration and excessive punishment, and to protect basic human rights for vulnerable people in American society.

  • Empowering Change

    We achieve more together, especially when our employees are empowered to give back to their communities. In 2020, every Veterans United employee received $1,000 to contribute toward social justice and equity initiatives locally and nationally.
